Shane Johnson of Booyah Productions visits Fisher House in Gainesville Florida!

Executive Director Patty Fabiani graciously invited Booyah Productions to take a tour of the Fisher House in Gainesville Florida.

Motivational speaker Shane Johnson has partnered with The Fisher House of Orlando to raise much needed funds and bring awareness in a series of events that include competing in The Bad Water Race, Death Valley, CA.

The Fisher House program is a unique private-public partnership that supports America’s military in their time of need. The program recognizes the special sacrifices of our men and women in uniform as well as the hardships of military service by meeting a humanitarian need beyond that normally provided by both the Departments of Defense and the Veterans Administration.

For members of our Armed Forces, retirees, veterans, and their families, the Fisher House program offers shelter and support during a medical crisis. Fisher Houses offer a comforting “home away from home” while a loved is receiving care in an unfamiliar environment. This special support is even more important to a family during the most stressful time – the hospitalization of a wounded or injured service member involved in military operations like Enduring Freedom or Iraqi Freedom.

The Gainesville Fisher House Foundation is the result of the effort of the Veterans Services Committee of the Rotary Club of Gainesville and its members. This committee was formed to honor those who have served and are serving the citizens of Alachua County in our United States Armed Forces. Seeing a great need in our greater community for a Fisher House facility the group formed the foundation.

Gainesville Fisher House Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to bringing a Fisher House to the campus of the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida. It is also dedicated to assisting the house once it is built to attend to the needs of those who will reside at the house.

Most importantly, due to the generosity of people like you no family pays for their stay. The Gainesville Fisher House will be paid in full. The staffing and maintenance will be the responsibility of VA once it is turned over to them.

Its our last day in Vegas. We're off to the final leg of Hike Across America. This afternoon we'll be hiking threw skid row in LA to get a first hand look at raw homelessness. Then Shane will start his 100 mile nonstop run from Santa Monica Pier to Oceanside, CA. We'll be doing live cut-ins on the hour for you to follow along. 

Shane is Hiking Across America to raise awareness for Veteran suicides and homelessness. Clean The World has partnered with Shane to supply 10,000 hygiene kits that Shane will hand out along his hike from Orlando to Camp Pendelton, CA.

Shane  has spoken at major events and corporations including Wreathes Across America, GoDaddy, Caesars Entertainment, Central Florida School of Business & Clean The World.
 
He has been interviewed by major news organizations such as Fox, CBS, NBC, PBS, IHeart Radio

Motivational Speaker Shane Johnson inspires the Faith Christian Academy football team!

Motivational Speaker Shane Johnson shared his inspirational story of overcoming adversity, embracing the pain in life and never quitting to the Faith Christian Academy football team.
East Orange County, Orlando, Fl.

The team followed along with Shane during his Hike Across America and was inspired to complete 22 pushups daily as a reminder of the 22 Veteran suicides committed every day. Many Veterans make up the staff of the Faith Christian Academy coaching staff lead by Head Football Coach Andre Dobson.

Faith Christian Academy's football program is one of the most successful in the country. Faith (9-0), enjoyed its best season in its fifth year of football.

2013 - Season Record (inaugural season) - 6-4
2013 - Trevor Curry named Orlando TD Club Defensive Player of the Week
2014 - Season Record - 5-5 (6-5 including KOC win in Austin, Texas).
2014 - defeats Savio Catholic H.S. in Austin, Texas.
2014 - Grayson Jones throws for 2014 yards and 21 Tds, rushes for 3 Tds (24 total Td's).
2014 - Grayson Jones is named FACA District Player of the Year (1A-4A).
2014 - Alex Briggs named Orlando TD Club Defensive Player of the Week
2014 - Faith defeats The Masters Academy in first ever football rivalry game 45-43.
2014 - Elijah Adedoyin, Zack Sableski, Jake Arnold, and Pedro Prado are named FACA 1st Team All-District.
2014 - Jake Arlnold, Jonathan Morales be the first two Faith players to sign to play college football.
2015 - Calvin Nguyen named 1st Team All SSAC and All-Academic Team
2015 - Zack Sableski named FACA 1st Team All- District Linebacker
2015 - Team finished with 3.49 gpa, 3rd highest in state on all levels (top 5 in Florida all 3 years of FCA program).

Recently Shane completed his epic 3,000 mile Hike Across America to raise awareness about Veteran suicides and homelessness.

Shane Johnson a Marine said challenges are what he lives for and as a veteran he said the work is never over even after leaving the battlefield. 

"Our job is to continue to serve no matter what in any capacity forever once we take our oath to the country," said Johnson.

This coming year Shane is determined to raise awareness & much needed funds for the Fisher House in Orlando, Florida. A Non profit that supports Veteran Families with a place to stay during medical issues while at the VA hospital. 

In 2018 Shane will also compete in the 4Races in four continents.

The 4 Deserts is the world's leading rough-country endurance footrace series. A unique collection of world-class events that take place over 7 days and 250 kilometers in the largest and most forbidding deserts on the planet.
 
Competitors are challenged to go beyond the limits of their physical and mental endurance. Racing self-supported in the most inhospitable climates and formidable landscapes, they must carry all their own equipment and food and are only provided with drinking water and a place in a tent each night to rest.
