TShane Johnson and The Pink Bow Foundation Begin Their Teen Homelessness Iniative!

While most of America was enjoying the 4th of July Holiday grilling and watching fireworks TShane Johnson got up before dawn to begin his daily hike of 22 miles to bring awareness to the teen homeless problem. And he's doing this while wearing an additional 100lbs to train for breaking the Guinnes World Record of the fastest marathon time carrying 100lbs.

This year Hike Across America has partnered with The Pink Bow Foundation to launch an initiative to raise awareness and support for homeless teens.

TShane began his symbolic hike from his home in Windermere, Florida and followed Colonial (Highway 50 West) to the Cleremont area. He'll do this every morning for the next 65 days.

Many businesses have sponsored the hike by purchasing a $150.00 box filled with the personal hygiene product these homeless teens so desperately need. The Pink Bow Foundation packages and distributes these items to the teens.

Starting July 4th Shane will run 22 miles a day for 65 days.

Last September after being delayed by hurricane Erma, Shane begun his first Hike Across America. He ran 22 miles a day for 65 days threw 9 states from Orlando to Camp Pendelton, CA to raise awareness about Veteran Homelessness & Suicides. On the last leg of his journey, Shane ran non-stop from Malibu to Camp Pendelton, CA. All this while wearing a 30lb pack. The 22 miles he ran represented the estimated number of Veteran Suicides committed every day. During the hike he inspired thousands with his message of hope & inspiration at homeless shelters in over 20 cities. He also distributed 10,000 hygiene kits supplied by Clean The World to those in need.

To prepare himself mentally, physically & spiritually for Hike Across America, Shane trained with Pinklon Thomas World Heavy Weight Champion 84-86 .

In addition to running 22 miles a day across the country, Shane also ran marathons and ultra-marathons. On October 22, 2017 he ran That DAM Half and 5K in Grand Prairie, Texas wearing his pack. His time was 3:14:27

On November 3, 2018 Shane finished 6th at the grueling 41.5 mile ultra-marathon Trails of Glory in Cottonwood Valley, Nevada.
